Editing email subscriptions/notifications If you're not receiving notification emails, you could try updating your email address. It may be that your current email address has bounced notification emails back to us, so we're unable to continue sending them. If you change the email address connected to your OkCupid account, you may begin to receive notification emails again. Our Email address The email address that our mail comes from is bounces@alerts.oknotify2.com. Support emails come from ________ If you got an email from another email address, it’s probably not us. Making sure you get our emails Sometimes our emails can get bounced back from your email provider. Here are some things to try: Add bounces@alerts.oknotify2.com to your email contacts list/white list to be sure our emails aren’t going to your spam folder Try using a different email address Double-check your email settings to be sure you’ve selected the emails you want to get If you're still having trouble, it could be that you blocked emails from us in the past or reported them as spam. If this is the case, you should try changing the email address on your account to a new one and then see if emails show up for you. Unfortunately if you have marked us as spam, there isn't anything we can do to remove that on our end (after all, your email provider doesn't want real spammers to override your blocks, do they?). Auto-Login links The auto-login links in emails are designed to take you to the part of OkCupid that the email was about, so you don't have to log in, dig around, and try to find the area we were telling you about. Instead, you just click the link and there you are! We do work on the assumption that emails for users are for them only. Changing your password will make any past links disabled. You can also turn off auto-login links from your Settings Privacy page on the web, or on the app by tapping on your profile page, then on Account Settings, and then on Privacy. From there, you can click the toggle to change the setting. Subscribing To / Unsubscribing From Our Emails To change your email settings on the web, go to the Notifications/Apps portion of the Settings page. From this page you can set which emails you want to receive from us. On the app, tap on your profile, then on Account Settings, then on notifications. From here you can click the toggle for which notifications you would like to receive. Please note, deleting the app from your phone doesn't delete your profile, or disable email notifications. On the settings page, you will find multiple options for turning notifications on, or off. If you turn off a notification, most emails will stop at once, but you might get one or two stray emails this week.
